Entertainment in Santa Monica
It is common knowledge that Santa Monica is the location to be if you want some sun, some sights, and a whole lot of sea. However, it may not be so well known just how much you can do if you’re not in the mood for the beach. Santa Monica is bursting at the seams with other sources of entertainment.
Our ocean-view executive suite is at the center of the fun. We are surrounded by numerous activities to set your sights on once leaving our office building. For example, Harvelle’s is a storied music club about a block and a half away on Santa Monica and 4th Street providing jazz, blues, R&B, hip-hop, spoken word, burlesque, and more since the 1930s. Illusion Magic Lounge is a few doors down from the club, where theatrical performances feature magic shows with elements of comedy, music, and audience participation. The Santa Monica College Performing Arts Center is a 4-minute drive away on Santa Monica and 10th Street, where you can find the popular Eli and Edythe Broad Stage, an intimate theatre with about 500 seats presenting opera, chamber music, and other performances. If you want to have some fun in the sun, check out Palisades Park, the sizeable strip of grass, palm trees, and expansive ocean views that is a block away - about a minute walk from our offices. Tongva Park is a 3-minute drive away and boasts modern architectural features plus play equipment and a splash pad. If you want something even closer, we are nearly next door to the popular Third Street Promenade, where you will find numerous shops and eateries. Barnes and Noble on the other end of our block is opening its doors this week, and Miniso, an Asian retail and variety store specializing in household and consumer goods, just opened its doors across the street and is already becoming a crowd favorite.
Of course, the Santa Monica Pier needs no introduction, and you can find the entrance less than a 10-minute walk away.
